Express
Express is a minimalist web framework for Node.js — for over a decade the default choice for building APIs and HTTP servers. It gives you routing, middleware, and little else; the rest you assemble deliberately.
Thanks to maturity and simplicity it remains a pragmatic default. Competitors (Fastify, Hono) are faster, but Express has a vast library base and broad familiarity.
