GitLab CI

GitLab CI/CD is GitLab’s built-in pipeline system — defined in .gitlab-ci.yml. It covers build, test, deploy, and includes security scanners and a container registry out of the box.

It works especially well in self-hosted setups and where GitLab is the central hub (code, issues, CI, registry, deploys). On public cloud GitHub Actions is often picked, but GitLab CI tends to be more mature in DevSecOps areas.
